While not as harrowing as previous episodes, “Kin”, episode 6 of The Last of Us certainly left us with a lump in our throat. Joel and Ellie made their way to Jackson, where families were reunited and duos were broken apart (temporarily, anyway). Only three episodes are left, and we can't wait to see what happens.

Focus On Joel
THE LAST OF US Episode 6 features some of the finest acting in the series yet finally allowing the audience a look into Joel's soul and psyche thanks to Pedro Pascal's top-notch performance. The focus was on fleshing out Joel's relationships and we were all the better for it. pic.twitter.com/3pYsSSy4kM— Michael Cox (@mjcox111) February 20, 2023

Gut Punches All Over
Every episode is an emotional gut punch of brilliant performances. #TheLastOfUs Been a longtime fan of Rutina Wesley (some of the best eyes in acting) and I love what she brought here. Gabriel Luna is also fantastic here. Casting has been so on point.— Richard Newby (@RICHARDLNEWBY) February 21, 2023

I feel like HBO’s The Last of Us conveyed & explained better Ellie’s abandonment issues & why Joel was so reluctant to continue escorting her.— 🩰🔪 (@GabrielDivina2) February 21, 2023
In the games, he was just so cold and fighting with his brother.
That emotional confession scene with Pedro Pascal was so much better pic.twitter.com/aDLpw0HS2E

The Last of Us show is SO freaking good. The way they’re so true to the game (some sets/scenes are exact!!!) while also adding depth that there wasn’t time for in a game… THIS is how you adapt video games to tv!!!! Also the acting is phenomenal aaaaaaa— Erika Harlacher-Stone (@ErikaHarlacher) February 20, 2023
