Live action films with the best CGI effects ever include some of the most popular movies of all-time. Think Jurassic Park, the Transformers series, and the Matrix movies. These movies all combine fantastic live action with eye-poppingly great CGI effects, creating memorable characters, and amazingly detailed scenes to keep you on the edge of your seat. Some of the best live action films with computer generated images manage to be compelling and real without overdoing things. In some of the greatest films that combine live action and CGI, the scenes using computer generated images are so subtle, you can't even tell. A really well done top CGI/live-action movie combines incredible technical wizardry and realistic-looking details to enhance a movie, not overpower it. Michael Gondry's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and David Fincher's Fight Club are great examples of this. Sometimes, less really is more when it comes to computer generated imagery movies.
