Longest Hitting Streaks in Baseball

Updated June 14, 2019 9.1k views39 items
List of the longest hitting streaks in baseball by individual players. A hitting streak may be span consecutive games or consecutive seasons, and Major League Baseball has long been a vehicle for keeping such stats on professional athletes. The hit streak record has been broken numerous times over the years, and this list includes several ties on the longest hit streak list.

The MLB was founded in 1869 with the establishment of the first professional baseball team, the Cincinnati Red Stockings. The modern Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves franchises were founded soon after. Baseball has been called the "Great American Pastime" for generations, persevering through several wars - long before professional ball clubs existed. Baseball legends from Babe Ruth to Ted Williams to Sammy Sosa are frequently listed among the greatest athletes of all time.

This list of MLB hit streak records covers the entire history of professional baseball.
