List Rules Vote up the best tarot cards to draw when you need a little luck

When it comes to the luckiest Tarot cards, any good fortune teller will explain that no card is necessarily good or bad, depending on how closely you chose to listen to its lessons. That said, there are a few Tarot cards that definitely tend to be a welcome sight in almost any reading. Some such cards bring news of impending good fortune while others affirm that you are on the right track when it comes to love or money. Some readers even carry some Tarot cards for good luck if there's something in particular that they are trying to manifest in their lives.

Here we'll take a look at a few such lucky tarot cards and what messages they may be trying to tell you if they appear in various positions in a reading. Keep in mind while the tarot can be an excellent hint of what's to come if you stay on a given path, there is no such thing as a future written in stone. While a card may be able to assure you that you're on the right path to your goals, it's up to you to stay on that path until your dreams become a reality.

The Star

The Star pictures an unclothed woman with one foot dipped into the edge of a small pool (intuition and inner voice) while the other remains firmly on the ground (common sense and logic). She pours out two containers which nourish both land and water (the subconscious and conscious) and has deep ties to the lush natural landscape around her. In the night sky behind her, a large yellow star is surrounded by 7 smaller white ones which represent the 7 chakras.

If you've been going through a rough time then the appearance of The Star in a reading is assurance that a time of renewed hope and purpose is about to follow. Though the recent past may have been painful, it's also cleansed you of limited beliefs and ideas that have been holding you back and left you open and vulnerable enough to enter into the next phase of your life. The star invites you to reconnect with your inner guidance and that no matter how hard a road you've been traveling, you're now about to embark upon a new journey which your past trials have served to prepare you for.

In the past position, the star may call upon you to remember the lessons you've learned during the time in your life you felt the most grounded and in tune with your inner voice. In the present and future positions, it's an assurance that life is about to get amazing again and that you're about to feel the reassurance of knowing that you're exactly where you're supposed to be.

The Lovers

This shamelessly full front card shows Adam and Eve in all their original glory, standing in front of Raphael, the archangel of healing. The suggestively shaped mountain behind them is deliberate and the snake in the tree behind eve is a gentle reminder of temptations of a carnal nature. Behind Adam stands a tree ablaze with 12 flames. The fires represent the flame of passion and the fact that there are 12 of them stands for the 12 signs of the zodiac.

Love is in the air when you see this card show up in a reading. And not just a purely sensual relationship, but one in which you've found a true connection with another person which brings both physical and emotional fulfillment. Though the lovers generally indicate a romantic relationship, it can also signify one in which you share a deep, unconditional love with a friend or family member.

Seen in the past position, it can symbolize either a past relationship or the honeymoon period of one in which you find yourself now. Seen in the present or future position, it can be a major confirmation of the relationship you're currently in or an indication that you should keep your eyes peeled for a love that's about to rock your world.

Six of Wands

The man pictured on the Six of Wands rides a white horse through a cheering crowd as he wears the laurel wreath of victory. His horse represents purity, strength, and advancement while the victory wreaths around his head and on his wand represent success in his endeavors.

This card brings with it the assurance of success and progress while inviting you to trust in your own self-confidence. It speaks of the hard work and determination you put into the situation in question as well as the public enthusiasm that you've garnered throughout your journey.

If it shows up in the past position, it can be a reminder to remember all the things you've achieved in life and the friends you've gained who continue to support and respect you. In the present or future, it can be an indication that you'll soon enjoy a positive outcome to something you've set in motion. Whether it be your career, a relationship, or an adventure, you're in for a magical ride that will take you right to where you've dreamed it would.

Ten of Cups

The Ten of Cups is the ideal picture of happy endings come true. A happy couple overlooks their small but happy farm as their children play joyfully next to them. Their true love has born fruit and now they enjoy all the comforts of home, family, and the fertility of their land.

If you've always dreamed of a happy home life, then the odds are good that it's coming your way when this card shows up in your reading. It tends to indicate emotional fulfillment, deep and loving relationships, and the joy that comes with making a house into a home.

In the past position, it may indicate a happier time in your relationship or your childhood as far as how it relates to your present goals and dreams. In the present, it assures you that the relationships and good things you've brought into your life are not too good to be true, but the happy results of following your heart. If the Ten of Cups visits a future position in your reading, it's an indication that these things still lie ahead for you and to keep striving for your dreams, as you are more than capable of bringing them to fulfillment.
