The second season finale of The Mandalorian was an emotional rollercoaster. It had everything we wanted and some things we never expected. After spending the last episode hunting for Grogu (still getting used to that name), Mando tracked down Moff Gideon's ship and got everything he wanted, the child, Gideon, and even the darksaber. And fans got a very unexpected and exciting cameo in the form of Luke Skywalker himself (via some CGI magic, though it was Mark Hamill's voice). Some people thought they should have just recast the role while others wouldn't have accepted anyone other than Hamill in the robe. There was also an exciting end-credits scene that showed Boba Fett returning to Jabba's palace (now being run by Bib Fortuna) and taking control of the vast criminal empire.
The end titles promised The Book of Boba Fett in December 2021, so will that be season 3 of The Mandalorian or an entirely new show? Is that the last time we see Mando and Grogu?
