If there’s one question that’s plagued the world for the better part of a decade it’s “How did Michael Jackson die?” Sure, we all know the official story, that his personal physician administered too many painkillers, which reacted violently to the pharmaceuticals that he was surreptitiously taking, thus killing the star. But it’s possible that there’s more to the death of Michael Jackson. A star of that magnitude doesn’t simply shuffle off of this mortal coil by accident. Someone, or something, had to have a hand in his death. The scary thing about Michael Jackson death theories is that some of them actually seem like they might be closer to the truth than the official story.
Pretty much right after the singer died, Michael Jackson death conspiracies began to blossom like a peach tree. Alleged federal agents came out of the woodwork to claim that Jackson had made enemies in the government, his family cried fowl on his will, and then there’s that tricky death certificate that no one signed. What’s up with that? But maybe none of those theories have any legs and Jackson is actually a 3,000 year old alien who had to go home. We can’t discount anything, not until we know the truth.
Vote on the theories about the King of Pop’s death you think are most likely to be true. And if you’ve got some dirt on who killed Michael Jackson, tell us in the comments, the Internet’s very own unlit parking garage.
His Daughter Thinks He Was Murdered By Unnamed, Nefarious People
In 2017, Paris Jackson gave an interview to Rolling Stone magazine alleging her father had been murdered. She said she didn't know who was behind the act, but indicated it was a calculated move to off the King of Pop. Some online conspiracy theorists questioned whether she was pointing to a group like the Illuminati.
He Didn't Sign His Own Will
Because most lay people will never get a look at Jackson's will, we'll never really know who, what, or if anyone actually signed his will that specified that his estate should be looked after by his lawyers until his children are old enough to look after it themselves. Five of Jackson's brothers and sisters (Janet, Jermaine, Tito, Randy and Rebbie) are arguing that Jackson's will was signed on July 7, 2002 in Los Angeles, when Jackson was supposed to be in New York.
In a letter to his lawyers, Branca and McClain, they wrote: "We know there is most certainly a conspiracy surrounding our brother's death and now coarse manipulation and fear are being used to cover it up. Your heartless pursuit of wealth, fame and power is at the expense of our family, whose deepest desire is to give to the world a gift of hope, love and unity through our music. Our brother told us, in no uncertain terms and without hesitation in the months prior to his death, that he despised both of you and that he did not want either of you to have anything to do with his life or estate for that matter"
His Business Associates Worked Him to Death
According to LaToya Jackson, there was no government plan to kill her brother, and aliens didn't airlift him back to his home planet. She believes that the sad truth of the matter is that Dr. Tohme Tohme, Jackson's final business adviser, and his colleagues shut out all of Jackson's former business relations and worked the already frail singer until he dropped dead.LaToya believes that her brother knew something was happening, and that he was being "murdered" for his publishing catalog and his estate. This isn't out of the realm of possibilities, but it begs the question, if Michael knew about the plot, why not just stop?
The King of Pop Lives
One of the most prevalent theories about the death of Michael Jackson is that he never actually died. There are numerous reasons as to why people believe that he's still alive, but most of the evidence points toward the photos TMZ published of Jackson in an ambulance that are directly opposite to the coroners report that list him as being bald and with his face caved in. Even if it's possible that the pictures are older photos of Jackson being taken away from his home, why would his family opt for a closed casket funeral?
All of this is further underscored by the fact that no physician signed Jackson's death certificate. Conrad Murray refused to sign it, as did the physicians at the coroners office. Why? Was it because he was alive?
