As we progress through the second half of the 2018 MLB season, it's time to make your NL Cy Young Award predictions. Of course, plenty of pitchers have been throwing great games this season, boasting low ERAs and high strikeout counts, but only a select few can really be considered for the ever-sought-after Cy Young Award. Simply put, only the top starting pitchers and lights-out closers are worthy of the award—and they all want it. Of all the likely candidates, who will win the NL Cy Young Award in 2018?
When it comes to the National League, top MLB pitchers Max Scherzer and Kenley Jansen could very well be named this season's Cy Young winner. These two aces have racked up wins (or saves), strikeouts, and kept their ERAs low all season long. Then you have the likes of Phillies star Aaron Nola, who's had a killer season, along with guys like Jon Lester and the always-great Zack Greinke.
