music Mojo's Best Live Albums of All Time

Mojo Magazine Lists
3.2k views 21 items Embed

List of the top live music albums of all time, as ranked by the editors of Mojo Magazine. This compiles the best live recorded albums ever released, with a focus on rock and roll music. Some of the celebrated live artists included are Frank Sinatra, Cream, The Velvet Underground, and Van Morrison.

The list was originally run in Mojo Magazine's 60th issue in November of 1998. It is listed in chronological order by the release date of the album (not the live performance itself, which in some cases was recorded well before.)

Significantly, no live albums from the 1980s were included in the list. Mojo jumps right from the mid-1970s to the release of Nirvana's "Unplugged in New York" in 1993.
