19 Musicians and Singers Who Are Mormon
Several famous vocalists and frontmen are members of the Mormon faith. Some of these Mormon musicians were raised in the church and others are still active in the Mormon religion today. A few famous Mormon singers even went on multi-year missions for the church.
Who is the most famous Mormon singer? Gladys Knight tops our list. She reportedly joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the late 1990s. "There Is a Green Hill Far Away" is her favorite hymn. Marie Osmond is a practicing Mormon. She said, "The God that I believe in is a God of love, not fear."
Several famous male vocalists are also Mormon. The Killers frontman, Brandon Flowers, is a devout Mormon. In an interview with NPR, he pointed out that his home town of Las Vegas, NV was settled by Mormons. Win and Will Butler of Arcade Fire fame were raised by a Mormon mother. Other famous Mormon singers include Lindsey Stirling, Gary Allan, and Alex Boye.
