Everybody used to hate Chris. Now they hate the Astros. The infamous sign stealers drew a lot of bad blood en route to the franchise's first World Series title in 2017. Among the supervillains, Carlos Correa also quickly became a hated ballplayer after his responses to the Houston Astros cheating scandal. The 2017 Astros will be highly criticized forever, and that World Series banner will be in question until the end of time.

The Houston Astros sign stealing scandal will go down in infamy after members of the Astros used technological aids to steal signs of opposing teams during the 2017 and 2018 seasons. So it makes sense many Astros populate this list. Following rumors that the Yankees may have also done something similarly nefarious, Bregman took the opportunity to chime in via Twitter. The Astros third baseman mimicked a tweet by Aaron Judge and when the tweet wasn’t well-received, due to Bregman having done arguably much worse, the second baseman deleted it.
