The 20 Most Powerful Bleach Villains, Ranked

November 3, 2020 1.4k votes 188 voters 8.3k views20 items

Bleach is one of the most beloved shonen anime in history. Part of that is because of its wide range of dangerous and powerful villains.

Who are the strongest Bleach villains? If you've only seen the anime, you'll probably point to Sousuke Aizen, who betrayed Soul Society in one of the most dramatic coups in anime history. But as powerful as Aizen might be, he's nothing compared to Ywach, the ultimate villain of the series who appears only in the manga. Those two aren't the only strong villains - Aizen's Espada is almost universally terrifying.

Vote up the Bleach villains who put up an incredible fight, and vote down those who are easily defeated.

    Coyote Stark

Wanting to be weaker so that he could be around others without their souls being destroyed by his mere presence, Coyote Stark split his soul into another Arrancar, Lilynette Gingerbuck. He can use both of their souls to summon various weapons, as well as summon a pack of wolves.

    Baraggan Louisenbairn

Baraggan Louisenbairn has one of the most unsettling abilities in the whole series. Using Senescencia, he can rapidly age anything that he comes into contact with, from objects to people's bodies. This can immediately destroy them, which is what happens to Suì-Fēng's arm when the bones become brittle with age. As if that weren't enough, the dude can also wield an axe.

  • Gin Ichimaru is actually a double agent secretly working against Aizen, but because he spends most of the series as his right hand man and does help him out significantly, we're including him here. He's a genius-level fighter whose tactical skills are almost unmatched. Then there's his Bankai, Kamishini no Yari, which is so strong he once used it to cut a whole town in half. The blade can also briefly turn into dust and then reform itself, releasing a fatal poison.

  • A loyal follower of Aizen's until he betrayed her at the last minute, Tier Harribel was a formidable villain and an asset to her team. Her Resurrección special ability allows her to create and manipulate water, which she uses in tandem with her excelletn swordsmenship.
