    Plant Feelings And Bacon

    From Redditor /u/drunk_dreams

What I really hate is people who joke about killing carrots or lettuce, and ask me over and over "But what about them?!?? The vegetables feel pain!"

Also, there's always the classic "Oh. My. GOD! But what about BACON????!! BACON!!!????" followed by an incredulous look. Like I'm some sort of sociopath for not liking bacon?

    No Animals Where Harmed

    From Redditor /u/deleted

My ex-boyfriend thought it was un-vegan of me to own a tiger print shirt. he couldn't seem to comprehend that I was vegan because I was opposed to unnecessary animal suffering, and that no animals were harmed in the dyeing of that shirt to resemble a tiger's stripes.

    But… Chicken Isn't Meat

    From Redditor /u/hayleybird93

[My boss] was telling me he stopped eating meat to become healthier. As he was explaining this to me he was eating a chicken sandwich.

I pointed that out and responded, seriously, "Oh Hayley, chicken isn't meat".

    Vegans Are Destroying The World?

    From Redditor /u/SailorVeganx

Meat eater: Vegans are destroying the rainforest from all the plants they eat.

Me: As a vegan, I eat fewer plants now than when I consumed meat. Goes back and forth on this point for about 5 minutes

Meat eater: so why don't we just slay the animals as soon as they're born so we don't have to feed them? Could you imagine how many chicks would be needed to meet the demand for chicken?

    I have no further response.
