Who you gonna call when you want some vintage Ghostbusters toys? Well, you probably shouldn't call anyone. All you really need to do is just pop over eBay and see what collectors have available for sale. As one of the most enduring film franchises of all time, there's still a high demand for rare and vintage Ghostbusters toys. Whether they're mint in the box or out and about, people will pay top dollar to regain a little part of their lost childhoods

While there were various Ghostbusters sets released throughout the years, it's worth noting that most of the more valuable toys tend to hail from the mid-1980s (around the time the first Ghostbusters film was released). Sure, there are a few figures from later lines that can still fetch a decent price, but vintage Ghostbusters are definitely more treasured.

Here you'll find an array of the most valuable and the most expensive Ghostbusters toys that were ever sold, as well as how much each set and figure went for. Who knows, maybe this list is enough to convince you to go through all those old boxes of toys that are currently collecting dust in your attic. After all, you never know when you may be sitting on a valuable toy fortune.

    Ghost Command Playset

    Sold for: $900.00

    Year Released: 1986

In 1986, Kenner released the epic Ghostbusters Ghost Command Playset. Loosely based on the animated series, it's definitely one of the holy grails of vintage Ghostbusters toys.

Even though it sold for $900, this one had some problems with it, including the garage door pegs not staying in place. Just imagine how much a mint one would go for...

      Kenner Bug-Eye Ghost

      Sold for: $700.00

      Year Released: 1987

Kenner came out with the Bug-Eye Ghost action figure in 1987. The gimmick with this figure was the fact that its eyeball would literally pop out when you slapped the back of the figure. Definitely gross, but also pretty cool/

This particular listing came in the original packaging with no dents, which is why it sold for a smooth $700. Even when these ghosts are out of the box, they can still sell for several hundred dollars. Who knew those little toy ghosts could be worth so much money?

        Real Ghostbusters Firehouse Series 1

        Sold for: $699.99

        Year Released: 1986

Based off the firehouse from the animated series, this '80s  playset came with its own red Ecto-Plazm gel can, which itself is worth a pretty penny.

Easily one of the cooler play sets, kids could actually feel like a Ghostbuster ready to come down the fire escape to battle ghosts. As an original series 1 edition that came out in 1986, it came in its original packaging, which is why the seller earned nearly $700 for it.

          Vintage Ghostbusters Action Figure Toys

          Sold for: $679.00

          Year Released: 1987

Kenner had a plethora of Ghostbusters toys by 1987. One seller bundled a bunch of them together and sold them for just under $700. They came in their original boxes, but there are definitely a few duplicates.

Unlike some of the more valuable Ghostbusters toys that are typically first (or second) releases, this lot is notable simply for the fact that most of these action figures were pretty common. If you've got a bunch of old figures lying around, they could be worth a decent amount.
