Two decades before Marvel, Commando (1985), Predator (1987) & Die Hard 2 (1990) all co-existed in the same cinematic universe. The films are all linked by the fictional South American country of “Val Verde” - which features in all three.

    The Predator's Collection

In Predator (1987), the skull on the right belongs to Mac. You can tell from the hole and scorch marks on it caused by the Predator's plasma caster when he kills Mac.

    'Stg. Rock'

    Posted by u/nemo618:

In Predator (1987), Hawkins (Shane Black) can be seen reading a Sgt. Rock comic in the end credits. The commandos looks are based on the comic.

There was also going to be a Sgt Rock movie starring Arnold. It never got made, but this was supposed to be a wink at it.
