Some hotels offer amenities like complimentary breakfast and free wifi in order to get guests into their rooms. Others take advantage of location, or perhaps feature a five-star restaurant. Still others take advantage of diehard fans of the cinema. Movie themed hotels are everywhere. They provide a guest the opportunity to feel like one of their favorite film characters, or sleep in quarters designed to look like a famous movie set. Here are the coolest themed hotel rooms that movie nerds will love.
Themed hotels have been around for a while. It’s a niche of the hospitality business that can cash in on nostalgia and fandom. Some of the themed rooms on this list are from mega-franchises with a built-in fan base that is ready to spend money.
No one can actually be James Bond. However, during a trip to Paris, a guest can revel in kitschy 007 memorabilia, that may even rival the allure of the City of Lights. Fans of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings do not have to travel all the way to New Zealand to visit the film’s sets (though they can!) - there’s a replica of The Hobbit cabin in Montana. From luxury rooms made entirely of ice and snow to tiny capsules that don’t even have proper beds, there’s a theme hotel out there for nearly every movie fan. Vote up the themed rooms that you would most like to check into for a night!

The Poseidon Undersea Resort in Fiji is the first underwater hotel. The design is modeled after the films Poseidon and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Guests of the luxury resort can drive their own Triton submarine, scuba dive, golf, play tennis, eat, drink, or just relax in the marine-focused spa.
The catch is that prospective guests will have to wait to stay at a room in the five-star resort. The hotel was supposed to open in 2009 and 150,000 people have already booked a room. However, the opening has been delayed several times. But there is faith that the resort will open soon.Just like Nemo says at the end of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, "There is hope for the future. And when the world is ready for a new and better life, all this will someday come to pass, in God's good time."13718Would you stay here?

Sleep Where Luke Skywalker SleptPhoto: Metaweb / CC-BYfans from around the world flock to what is known as The Star Wars Hotel. The Hotel Sidi Driss was used in 1976 as the filming location for the home of young Luke Skywalker and his aunt and uncle on their home planet of Tatooine. The location was used again for 2002's Attack of the Clones. The hotel itself looks like it could come from a galaxy far, far, away with its rocky, cave-like exteriors. This is another non-luxury dwelling; the rooms really do resemble caves, do not have windows, and cots are used for beds.8439Would you stay here?
