Movies are no stranger to high levels of violence, though the most graphic sequences are often not the violent acts themselves, but the aftermath. One endlessly popular story device involves characters having to figure out what to do with a dead body. The difficulty and complications of the task often contrast with the suddenness and ease of the act that resulted in a body in need of disposal in the first place.

Sometimes the task of hiding, destroying, or disguising a body is handled in a comedic manner. Other films address the seriousness of the act, even touching upon the psychological cost borne by the characters who carry it out. Occasionally, the films aren’t as concerned with how the person bit the dust, focusing instead on what occurs to the body afterward.

This is a list of the bodies and where they were buried. Which films contain the most creative solutions to the problem of a corpse? Vote up your favorites!
