List Rules Only movies based on novels by Nicholas Sparks.

There are only two certainties in life: death and crying if there’s a Nicholas Sparks film on television. There are quite a few movies based on Nicholas Sparks books. It’s up to you to decide which ones are the best Nicholas Sparks movies? Is it The Notebook, or one of his more recent movies?

Sparks’ younger sister Danielle died of cancer when she was only 33 years old. It’s no wonder then why the prolific author pens heartbreaking novels where one love interest not only has cancer but dies from the disease, leaving their romantic partner and an entire movie audience feeling tearfully devastated.

But not all Nicholas Sparks film adaptations end in death. In fact, some of his couples live long and happy lives together (you’ll cry a lot during those movies too). So, grab the tissues, watch out for his trademark narrative twist, and scoop yourself a small carton of Rocky Road ice cream. You’ll need it all while trying to decide which Sparks adaptation you love the most. The vote them up to see which Nicholas Sparks books made into movies make it to the top of the list.
