Unsure of what to watch after Wonder? You've come to the right place, as plenty of fellow fans want to know what else there is like this heartwarming story. Of course, movies and television series about people with deformities are nothing new, but few have taken on the subject with such grace and aplomb as the movie Wonder. The film, based on a book of the same name, explores the life of a child with Treacher Collins syndrome. The genetic disorder results in a deformity of the ears, eyes, cheekbones, and chin. The young man in question, played by Jacob Tremblay, endeavors to join his peers in school after undergoing nearly 30 surgeries and having been home schooled his entire life. Exploring the trials and tribulations of a young boy with a facial deformity helps the audience to explore themselves—something most films don't offer.

If you're looking for something to watch on either the television or from the theaters after finishing Wonder, there are some great options to choose from. The award-winning film, Mask explores a similar concept about a man who is afflicted with Craniodiaphyseal dysplasia. That movie won the Academy Award for Best Makeup thanks to the work done on Eric Stoltz. TV shows like Wonder include Beauty in the Beast, which also depicts an otherwise unattractive outward appearance hiding a gentle soul. While these are two great suggestions, these are far from the only choices Wonder fans have to check out next. Spoiler: there are some real tearjerkers!
