List Rules Vote up the movies you just can't make yourself watch on DVD.

Before Netflix was a streaming service and smart televisions could access Hulu and Amazon Prime, allowing day watchers everywhere to choose their Sunday afternoon or Saturday morning movie, people referred to their extensive DVD collections. Since the process of turning on a DVD often meant having to sit through previews, change the input, and activate an extra piece of hardware, the film you chose was usually one of the best movies in your collection. From That Thing You Do to The Godfather, your efforts were worth the care you took to avoid any potential scratches.

Luckily, DVDs were not the only option. Certain networks play movies all afternoon. From Harry Potter to Forrest Gump, you undoubtedly owned these classic DVDs but chose to watch them on TV anyway. And even if the Network version of Kill Bill Vol. 2 leaves out some seemingly essential dialogue, you never really thought to choose it when searching through your DVD collection.
