Music festivals 2012 include some of the biggest concerts in the world. This list includes 2012 music festivals in the U.S. and worldwide. Each year, millions of music fans set out for these festivals in search of great entertainment, with some festivals utilizing as many as 90 different stages to present hundreds of different artists. From electronica to rock and pop, here are some of the biggest and the best music festivals of the year.
With concert ticket prices continuing to soar, one way to see a variety of different musical acts is to hit one of the large music festivals. In 2012, the biggest include Austin's South by Southwest (SXSW), New Orleans' JazzFest, and, of course, Bonnaroo and Coachella. Most of the dates for these festivals are out now, and I've included them (along with specific locations) here. Hopefully this list will help you plan. One thing to note: IF a major music festival hasn't officially announced dates, I've listed tentative dates (projected).
While most major 2012 music festivals will be held during the summer months, fans can find a few really great festivals to attend during the winter/spring/fall months, too. The aforementioned SXSW, JazzFest and Coachella are held in the spring, and the (truly awesome) Voodoo Music Experience 2012 in New Orleans is always held in late October. The Austin City Limits festival is also in October 2012. You've got year-round options, people.
Grab your tents, your bottled water, your hacky sacks and hula hoops, a few of those little glow stick thingies, and prepare to hit some excellent music festivals in 2012!
