The Best Musical Parody Movies

List RulesVote up the movies that do the best job of spoofing the genre.

This list of the best musical parody movies is music to our ears. Musical spoof films are always a welcome reprieve from the musical genre that is ridiculous enough as it is; seriously, how do complete strangers all know the choreography and lyrics to a spontaneous number? The best parodies of musical movies are when you can tell that the songs and the dance moves in the parody were given just as much time, effort and devotion as ones you would see in more conventional musicals. The jokes in funny musical movie spoofs work best when they’re more of an homage to musicals rather than flat out making fun of them. This is also true for niche genres like Disney musical spoofs. Satirical musical movies are hard to pull off when it comes to balancing the jokes and music, but when they work it’s like a sweet symphony for the viewer.

So, take a look at our list of top musical parody films and see if our rankings are in tune with yours. Share the list with your friends and re-rank it! If you don't see your favorite satirical musical, add it to the list.
