TLC's popular program My 600-lb Life has been on television for a full eight seasons now, not including spin-offs like My 600-lb Life: Where Are They Now and One Ton Family.

The concept is simple and the episodes are formulaic: each episode, a super morbidly obese person spends a year in weight loss therapy (and usually surgery) under the care of the ultimate Mean Dad, Dr. Nowzaradan in Houston, TX. Before approving them for any surgery, Dr. "Now" will give the patient a weight loss goal they must hit using a strict no-carb, high-protien diet and routine exercise.

Along the way, fans of the series have taken to the Internet to create unusual homages to both the show and its great and powerful leader, Dr. Now.
