My championship in my fantasy football league is this week! I am in it, and vying to win $100. Here is my team for my final week. I listed who starts where, and how I acquired them. My league has a starting lineup of: QB, RB, RB, RB/WR, WR, WR, WR, WR/TE, TE, K, D/ST.
Note: When I say best or worst defense, it might be confusing so let me explain it. For example, if I say: Brees faces Tampa Bay this week, the 2nd worst pass defense! That means it is a matchup you'd like because the Bucs defense is atrocious against QB's. Likewise, if I say: Green-Ellis faces Philadelphia, the 11th best run defense. That means it is a matchup you would not like, because Philly is solid against RB's. Hope that clears it up!Thanks for reading, and feel free to drop a comment.
How he was acquired: In 4 player, September 21st deal. I received Drew Brees and Julio Jones. I traded Tom Brady and Percy Harvin.
Analysis: In what turned out to be a pretty solid trade for me, Brees has helped lead my team to the championship. It's also fun having his top two targets in Colston and Graham. Brees faces Tampa Bay this week, the 2nd worst pass defense! see more on Drew Brees
How he was acquired: 8th Round, 77 Overall.
Analysis: Martin has turned out to be one of the biggest breakout stars, as I had hoped/thought he would. If you have Martin, chances are your team is doing pretty well heading into the final weeks. The Muscle Hamster faces New Orleans, who have the worst run defense in the league! see more on Doug Martin
How he was acquired: $3 waiver pickup, September 11.
Analysis: Morris is another guy who after acquiring him, I expected to be solid, but not great. Him and Martin have been my best two backs all year. After picking him up, his talent was clear but was worried that the Shanahan effect would be in play. (Shanahan has a tendency to switch his starting RB's often, kind of like the Scott Skiles of football). Morris faces Cleveland, the 13th worst run defense! see more on Alfred Morris
How he was acquired: 7th Round, 64 Overall.
Analysis: BJGE has turned out to be solid. I expected a bit more TD's but the yards have been there to save his TD-less weeks. Green-Ellis faces Philadelphia, the 11th best run defense. see more on BenJarvus Green-Ellis
