Class 1-A's Parents Were Kidnapped

Sometime after internships were over, the school's following event for the student body was Parent's Day. Although it seemed harmless enough, nothing is ever as expected at U.A. High. A disgruntled past student of the school kidnaps the guardians on campus. The kidnapper claims to have gotten rid of Eraser Head, and now it's up to the heroes-in-training to save their loved ones.
Thankfully, this wasn't a real hostage situation - the class didn't know that, though. The performance was actually one of Aizawa's rational deceptions to test his students’ skills. It was a large success with 1-A being able to handle the situation, and everyone came out of it unscathed.

Someone Has A Crush On Mineta
Photo: My Hero Academia: School Briefs / VIZ Media
The special Valentine's Day chapter covers some of the suspected MHA ships. It confirmed 1-B's Kuroiro's crush on Komori, as well as Tsuburaba's affection for Tsuyu.
The romance that fans couldn't have guessed though is that of an upperclassman. An older student approaches the girls of 1-A, handing them chocolates and nervously requesting they deliver it to her Prince Charming. After a lot of searching and confusion, they discover that the upperclassman is crushing on Mineta, of all people. He had helped her a week prior and she hadn't been able to stop thinking about him since.
Of course, Mineta's creepy ways manage to mess this up. Despite her showing interest in him, he takes it too far and ruins his chances at a romance within minutes. In hindsight though, she probably dodged a bullet.

Natsuo Thinks He Failed As Shoto's Brother
Photo: My Hero Academia: School Briefs / VIZ Media
The Todoroki family has a lot of issues, and the viewpoints of Shoto, Toya, and Endeavor are constantly explored throughout the series. But what about the other Todoroki brother, Natsuo?
When Shoto returns home for New Year’s Eve, his older brother Natsuo begins to reflect on their childhood. Although we never get to see an in-depth look into Natsuo's feelings, School Briefs shows that he resented Shoto for being their mother's sole focus growing up. It wasn't until he was older that he realized Shoto was experiencing trauma of his own and now regrets the ill will he had towards his sibling.
The chapter displays Natsuo's attempts at repairing his relationship with the youngest Todoroki and playing an active part as his brother.

Midnight Was Friends With Shirakumo
Photo: My Hero Academia: School Briefs / VIZ Media
In Season Five of MHA, we learn more about the high school friend of Eraser Head and Present Mic. Shirakumo was a classmate of theirs who wanted to form a hero agency with the pair, before tragically meeting his end during a work study mission. Fans who only watch the anime wouldn't know that Shirakumo was also close friends with another U.A. teacher, Midnight.
When the U.A. faculty members have a picnic under the cherry blossoms together, Midnight reminisces on her friendship with Shirakumo. Herself, along with Eraser Head and Present Mic, take time to grieve their friend together and wonder what he would've been like had he survived the accident.

Bakugo Respects Eri
Photo: My Hero Academia: School Briefs / VIZ Media
Bakugo is one of the most hotheaded - if not the most hotheaded - person in the MHA universe. Due to this, he's not exactly the greatest around kids, and that may be why we've yet to see him and Eri directly interact in the series. However, the two do have a run-in during a class exercise in the light novels. Eri acts as a hostage for Bakugo's team in this assignment, and he is specifically instructed to befriend the girl before she is rescued.
As you can guess, this isn't as simple for Bakugo as it may be for some. He struggles to talk to her and, even with the help of his classmates, can't seem to connect with the girl. Not all hope is lost though as Eri sneakily manages to get the one-up on 1-A's explosive student and captures him before making her escape. This smart move earned her the respect of Bakugo, as well as an extremely rare compliment from him.

Bakugo Roasts Todoroki
Photo: My Hero Academia: School Briefs / VIZ Media
Todoroki manages to get Bakugo and Midoriya work studies at his father's hero agency, but that doesn't mean he's free of Bakugo's endless insults. After Midoriya is screamed at for his excessive rambling during dinner, Todoroki asks why the two of them fight so often, considering they've known each other since childhood.
Bakugo's retort is arguably one of his best - or worst. He quickly responds by saying, "As if you're s'posed to get along just cuz you've known someone awhile…? Then how d'you explain you and dear daddy, huh?"
Todoroki doesn't have much of a comeback after that. He quickly agrees and instead changes the subject to that of his and Midoriya's friendship. Don't worry, Todoroki, we wouldn't know what to say either.
