Shelly Miscavige was the wife of Scientology leader David Miscavige until she disappeared in 2007. This mini documentary explores the theories and stories behind her strange disappearance.

Shelly Miscavige was born into Scientology and quit school at age 12 to join an elite group of girls trained to be L. Ron Hubbard's assistants. She was educated and indoctrinated solely in Scientology for the rest of her youth.

Eventually, Miscavige rose in the Scientology ranks to become part of the elite Sea Org, where she met her future husband David. She was described by others as cold, ambitious and quick to anger, completely devoted to Scientology. When Hubbard died, David Miscavige stepped into leadership, and he and Shelly lived like royalty off the church that rakes in millions of dollars per year.

Allegedly, Miscavige was a harsh leader, and was known for mistreatment of employees and his rage. After a re-shuffling of leadership, Miscavige was stripped of her duties and never seen again in public, but the church has refused to confirm or deny what happened to her. Watch this chilling documentary to learn more about the theories and context behind Scientology and Shelly Miscavige's strange disappearance.
