The 20 Saddest Last Words Of Naruto Characters

October 5, 2020 11.2k votes 1.3k voters 65.3k views20 items

Some of the saddest moments in Naruto are the last moments before a character passes away. This is when we get to hear their final words - or in some cases, their final thoughts.

For this list, we're looking at Naruto characters' last words that really hit hard. Some, Itachi Uchiha's, reflect their love for the person they're speaking to. Others, like Konan's, reflect their desire to carry out one last task before they go. Many involve entrusting their hopes to Naruto Uzumaki, either after he defeated them and helped them realize where they went wrong, or because they were on his team to begin with.

Which of these final quotes do you find the most devastating? Be sure to vote it up.

Minato: Naruto, my words to you... well, I guess your talkative mom said it all.

Kushina and Minato were looking forward to meeting their new son Naruto, but they only get to be with him for less than a day. After sealing the Nine Tails into his newborn body, they tell him all the things they would have wanted to teach him, had they had the opportunity.
