Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker has been a long-awaited game for fans of both the anime and the video game series. Released on August 30, 2018, the game features a whole host of new features players have never seen before in previous games. Featuring everything from beloved characters both new and old, like Naruto and his son Boruto, to custom-made characters that fans can personally stylize, the game has had some amazing improvements. Some of these include the cool ultimate jutsu that fill the screen with wonderfully animated devastation.

There are four types of specials in the game; ones that can hit a large area at once but are less powerful, ones that hit small areas but deal a lot of damage, support specials that can heal or incapacitate enemies, and power-up specials that boost characters. Each of these are paired with their respective character from the Naruto games franchise, but it’s important to keep in mind that customizable characters will have their own stylized specials as well.

    Totsuka Blade

    Mentor: Itachi

Itachi's ultimate summons his susano'o that envelops him and protects him from oncoming attacks. The susano'o then swings his sword to do deal a ton of damage to a relatively small area. This can be used for both PVP and PVE, making it a versatile attack regardless of play style.

    Eight Gates Opening

    Mentor: Rock Lee

This ultimate allows a player to open the Hidden Gates. In the anime, it's shown that these gates help to manage and control chakra. In the show, only Rock Lee and Might Guy have the ability to open these inner mechanisms. The drawback in the anime was that this move has the possibility to damage their body beyond repair. In the game, it will increase his attack power to help players take down enemies.

    Massive Rasengan

    Mentor: Naruto

Naruto uses his Massive Rasengan as his finishing move; his famous attack in the anime. In the game, it doesn't do much damage but hits a substantially large area and is exceptionally hard to dodge. It's certainly better for clearing out a portion of enemies in the VR room, but it's still reasonably effective in a one-on-one fight.

    Sage Mode

    Mentor: Mitsuki

Using senjutsu, or Sage Mode, Mitsuki summons chakra-created snakes that surround him. While the nature chakra is flowing through him, he increases his attack and defensive power. The drawback to this move is that it doesn't last long, and it might not be as useful in Quick Match when players are trying to deal a large amount of damage quickly. This is definitely most effective in PVE.
