The Space Page NASA Released Eerie Sounds From Outer Space And You Won't Believe Your Ears

You're going to want to turn your volume on for this one: NASA has released a playlist of eerie sounds straight from outer space and it's a must-listen.

Some spacecraft have the ability to capture radio emissions from objects in space, then translate the signals into sound through a process called "data sonification," which is how these sounds were captured.

This sample playlist includes a medley of noises from sources including Saturn, Jupiter, and a system 500 light-years away.

The sounds range from low thrums to something like heavy breathing to high-pitched frequency blips. It's absolutely riveting, and all of it is a little bit spooky. Watch this video and listen in to the sounds of space! Can you identify what's out there?
