List Rules Upvote the NBA up-and-comers you think will become basketball stars during the 2014-15 season.

One of the best things about sports is the emergence of players who seemingly came from nowhere to become superstars, often overnight. In the NBA this happens more often than other sports because of the early impact young players can have on the basketball court. For the 2014-15 season any number of amazing athletes could have their breakout season, and become Rookie of the Year, an All-Star, or lead their team deep into the playoffs.

Sometimes, it’s a highly anticipated rookie entering the league as an NBA lottery pick, sometimes a player makes the leap from the bench to superstar, and sometimes it’s a player who was out of the league all together before signing a contract with an NBA team. Anyone can be the season's breakout star, and the 2014 NBA Draft class was one of the most anticipated groups to enter the National Basketball Association in years.

Plus, with an exciting group of second and third year players on the cusp of stardom, it isn’t just the rookies who have a chance to become breakout stars. Only time will tell who will become an NBA All-Star and the future of the league, but keep an eye on these up-and-coming players as they try to make a name for themselves at basketball's highest level.

The former number one pick and a 2014 NBA All-Star, Davis has already broken through to stardom. However, his combination of size, skill, and basketball IQ give him a leg up on the competition to become the next mega star in the NBA. Davis led the NBA in blocks during the 2013-14 season and as his offensive game comes around, he will quickly join the game's elite.

It's hard to become a breakout star when you were just named MVP of the NBA Finals, but Leonard is well on his way to superstardom. The unassuming, yet versatile Leonard is ready to take over the reigns of the league's most consistent franchise, the San Antonio Spurs. Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobli, and Tony Parker can't play forever and Leonard is just a kid, at 23 years old.

Kyle Lowry

Kyle Lowry is listed (or ranked) 3 on the list Basketball Players Who Will Break Out in the 2014-15 Season

After a career season in 2013-14, Lowry is already established as an upper echelon guard in the NBA. He was considered the biggest snub of the 2014 NBA All-Star Game and it seemed to push him to new heights. In the second half of the season, Lowry took over for the Raptors and helped push them to a strong finish as the number three seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. If the veteran ball handler continues to improve, he will likely be named to his first NBA All-Star Game in 2015.

His name may be difficult to pronounce but soon enough it will roll right off the tongue because the "Greek Freak," is about to launch to stardom. Not even playing in Milwaukee can keep the ultra-athletic Antetokounmpo out of the limelight for much longer.
