As millions sit housebound and starved for entertainment, Netflix has provided the gift that keeps on giving. Unsettling and completely bonkers documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness follows the bizarre story of Joseph Maldonado-Passage (AKA Joe Exotic), an exotic animal collector with two husbands, a flair for fashion, and a mind that just might bend toward slaughter.

Exotic’s oddball tale about his attempt to dispatch animal activist/thorn-in-his-side Carole Baskin took America by surprise as the twisted tale began trending, causing a much-needed distraction for millions.

From strange alleged cults to music videos about missing husbands, the weirdness and "WTF?" moments of the docuseries are myriad. Here is a look at the top 10 moments.

The combination of large cats and people who handle large cats without the proper training keeps the risk of injury looming at the forefront of the series; but when it actually happens, it's still a surprise.

Kelci "Saff" Saffery, who also offers insight into Joe and his outfit during the course of the series, lost his arm when he touched one of the animals rather than use the stick provided. His reaction was cool and collected, even nonchalant, and he returned to work as soon as possible.

Carole Baskin is at first depicted as a pillar of her community, running Big Cat Sanctuary and helping animals in need. However, in an early chapter of Tiger King, Baskin is placed under scrutiny over the disappearance of her second husband, Don Lewis, who brought her into the big cat community in the first place. However, his motives might not have been entirely pure.

After Lewis disappeared, the police investigated but found no evidence of any foul play, despite the beliefs of family and friends. Lewis’s family knew of marital issues between the couple, including Lewis’s claim that Baskin threatened his life. However, no real threats were made on record to the police and no evidence was found. To this day, there is no record of how Lewis lost his life.

  • Exotic Made A Music Video Of Baskin Slaying Her Husband

Titled “Here, Kitty Kitty,” the video for the country music song features a Baskin lookalike feeding scraps of human remains to various tigers as she maniacally laughs.

While Baskin and her camp didn’t take kindly to the video and all that it implied, Joe and his fellow cronies, as well as fellow big cat collector Doc Antle, thought it was hilarious.

  • Jeff Lowe Was Detained In Vegas For Trying To Transport Baby Tigers

In a docuseries filled with shady characters, Jeff Lowe stands out. In addition to his questionable past, Jeff is portrayed as less than honorable; you watch him treat friends, co-workers, animals, and even his wife as commodities to be traded and used.

In one scene, Lowe is seen transporting baby tigers across a Las Vegas casino within a small rolling case. He had been using the animals for both financial gain and as a lure for women captivated by the cuteness of the cubs.
