When Adam Sandler returned to the halls of Studio 8H in 2019 to host Saturday Night Live, many were surprised that the famed alumn hadn't appeared on the show in any big way since his firing in 1995. As it turns out, Sandler is far from the only famous former SNL cast member that hasn't returned for hosting duties. While the list of fired or retired SNL cast members is longer than the show itself, it's undeniable that the list contains just as many comedy superstars as it does duds that flamed out before we got a chance to know what they could do. So why not have some of them back in a completely new role as host?
