After years of getting bashed and bruised on the rink (and playing great hockey, of course), there's a few NHL players who retired in 2018, and some will be sorely missed. Sure, we always have new rookies to look forward to each season, but that doesn't mean we'll miss the players retiring any less. Throughout their careers, these longtime hockey vets have given the game their all—whether it be blocking shots, slappin' pucks, or checking' opponents. Of all the hockey players retiring in 2018, who do you think will be missed the most?

While some players are hanging up their skates after a couple down seasons, others are going out with a bang—finishing as some of the top players in the NHL. Nevertheless, all these recently retired hockey players are great athletes, but could any of them go down as the best hockey players of all time? Regardless, such players who retired in 2018 include the likes of Marc Savard, most recently of the New Jersey Devils, right wing Radim Vrbata, and Patrick Sharp, who retired from the Chicago Blackhawks.

Check out the recently retired NHL players list below and vote up the hockey stars you think had the best careers—or those you'll miss seeing play.
