But a history of the fight between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B suggests their infamous hip-hop feud is in a league of its own.

What started the beef between Nicki and Cardi? It began, as these skirmishes do, with the exchange of some veiled verbal barbs, then unfolded slowly before culminating in a now-legendary physical confrontation during New York Fashion Week in 2018. Whatever side of the feud you're on, you have to admit this is one superstar mess of a fight that is hard to ignore.

November 2018: Minaj Disses Cardi In Both Verse And Video

A post shared by DJVONTV (@djvontv) on

Despite calling a truce of sorts a month prior, Minaj decided to call Cardi out on the Tekashi 6ix9ine track, "MAMA." Minaj insinuates that Cardi had to grant sexual favors to make it: "I was out in Spain rockin' a Medusa head/I ain't never have to give a rap producer head/If I do, though, I'ma wrute a book like Supahead/This ain't wonder that I'm makin', this that super bread/Splish, splash, f*ck him in a hurry, quick, fast."

Cardi responded to Minaj's allegations in an Instagram Live video, saying:

Nah, I never f*cked a deejay on God. I dealt with scammers. Drug dealers. I've dealt with some [explicit] but I never f*cked a deejay. I know what y'all gonna ask me and I addressed this a whole lot of times, 'Didn't you f*ck Self? No... I never been in a relationship with Self. I never flirted with Self.

Even though Minaj doesn't mention a DJ explicitly, fans think her mention of Spain is a subtle call-out to the rumors.

Minaj doubled down and released a video for her song "Good Form," and she had Baddie Gi and Jade star in it. The two video vixens are trying to sue Cardi after she allegedly ordered an attack on them.

October 2018: They Called A Truce

At long last... a ceasefire? Nicki posted to Twitter that she wanted "to focus on positive things only from here on out."

Cardi appeared to accept the offer. "Alright then! Let's keep it positive and keep it pushing," she wrote on Instagram.

October 2018: Nicki And Cardi Argued Over A Steve Madden Ad Campaign

Amid the ever-intensifying accusations being hurled between the two rappers, Nicki claimed Cardi was selected for a Steve Madden ad campaign only after she turned it down. Madden refuted Nicki's claims, tweeting, "You can't turn down an offer that was never made."

"We couldn't work together cuz I said the shoes were ugly," Nicki replied.

October 2018: Maury Povich Stepped In

After Nicki challenged Cardi to take a lie detector test, Maury Povich stepped in and offered to perform the test on his show.

Nicki readily agreed; Cardi did not respond.
