My Hero Academia is an exciting shonen anime with tons of memorable characters. Not all of those characters are canon - meaning, not all of them originally appeared in the manga. These anime-only characters might not have sprung from the mind of Kohei Horikoshi, but some of them are still pretty cool.
Some of the characters we've highlighted are the strongest non-canon My Hero Academia characters, including major movie villains like Wolfram and Flect Turn. Others aren't especially strong but have unique talents and personalities that make them worth following - Melissa Shield and Rody Soul being two great examples. Which non-canon MHA character is your favorite?

Rody is a good kid who works hard to take care of his younger brother and sister - but because he has no other choice, he does this through criminal means. He's extremely cagey and cautious of others, so it's tough for him to warm up to Izuku when they first meet.
Though he likes to keep his emotions to himself, they're obvious because of his quirk, Soul. His soul manifests as a little bird named Pino who reflects his actual emotions, regardless of what he says.
Melissa Shield is an American teenager and the daughter of David Shield. She's a kind, intelligent person with a positive outlook on life. Like Izuku, she doesn't have a quirk, but she doesn't let that get her down. Instead, she focuses on inventing support items for heroes, such as the Full Gauntlet, which she gives to Izuku to help him manage One For All.
Sirius is Selkie's sidekick. Though she looks up to her captain, she's also kind of embarrassed by his attempts to look adorable.
Her quirk, Good Ear, allows her to pick up high frequencies and quiet sounds over long distances. This is useful for communicating with Selkie without the use of radio equipment.
Katsuma Shimano is a six-year-old boy who is a huge fan of all things hero - he's especially fond of Edgeshot, and shows his fandom by wearing an Edgeshot enamel pin on his bag.
His quirk, Cell Activation, lets him speed up and improve the growth of cells. This can result in rapid healing and increased strength. Unfortunately, it's a tough quirk to use because it quickly drains his stamina.
Selkie is the world's most adorable hero - okay, not really, but that's what he wants you to think. He's constantly trying to make himself seem cute, much to the embarrassment of his fellow heroes. But underneath the running gag, he's actually a very competent hero and captain of the Oki Mariner.
His quirk gives him all of the abilities of a spotted seal, from the power to hold his breath for long periods of time to enhanced physical strength.
While All Might worked as a hero in America, David Shield was his sidekick. Unfortunately, he had a hard time accepting All Might's loss of power, and ended up going to extremes in order to try and restore it.
Specifically, he orchestrated a fake siege on the I-Island tower in order to steal the Quirk Amplification Device, which he hoped to use on his idol. His plan was usurped by actual villains, and he ended up putting everyone - including All Might - in danger. In the end, he was willing to sacrifice himself in order to undo his mistakes.
