Alan Mulally

Alan Roger Mulally (born August 4, 1945) is an American engineer, business executive, and former President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ford Motor Company. He retired from Ford Motor Company on July 1, 2014. Ford had been struggling during the late-2000s recession, returned to profitability under Mulally, and was the only American major car manufacturer to avoid a bailout fund provided by the government. Mulally's achievements at Ford are chronicled in the book American Icon: Alan Mulally and the Fight to Save Ford Motor Company by Bryce G. Hoffman, published in 2012. On July 15, 2014, he was appointed to the Google Board of Directors.Mulally was the executive vice president of Boeing and the CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA). He began his career with Boeing as an engineer in 1969 and was largely credited with BCA's resurgence against Airbus in the mid-2000s. In 2015, Mulally was inducted into the International Air & Space Hall of Fame at the San Diego Air & Space Museum.

Andy D. Bryant

Andy D. Bryant is executive vice president, Finance and Enterprise Services, and chief administrative officer of Intel Corporation. Bryant joined Intel in 1981 as controller for the Commercial Memory Systems Operation and in 1983 became Systems Group Controller. In 1987 he was promoted to director of Finance for the corporation, and was appointed vice president and director of Finance of the Intel Products Group in 1990. Bryant became CFO in February 1994, and was promoted to senior vice president in January 1999. Bryant expanded his role to Chief Financial and Enterprise Services Officer in December 1999. In October 2007, Bryant was named Chief Administrative Officer. Prior to joining Intel, he held positions in finance at Ford Motor Company and Chrysler Corporation. Bryant holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Missouri and an master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Kansas.

Henry Ford

Henry Ford (July 30, 1863 – April 7, 1947) was an American industrialist and a business magnate, the founder of the Ford Motor Company, and the sponsor of the development of the assembly line technique of mass production.
Although Ford did not invent the automobile or the assembly line, he developed and manufactured the first automobile that many middle-class Americans could afford. In doing so, Ford converted the automobile from an expensive curiosity into a practical conveyance that would profoundly impact the landscape of the 20th century. His introduction of the Model T automobile revolutionized transportation and American industry. As the owner of the Ford Motor Company, he became one of the richest and best-known people in the world. He is credited with "Fordism": mass production of inexpensive goods coupled with high wages for workers. Ford had a global vision, with consumerism as the key to peace. His intense commitment to systematically lowering costs resulted in many technical and business innovations, including a franchise system that put dealerships throughout most of North America and in major cities on six continents. Ford left most of his vast wealth to the Ford Foundation and arranged for his family to control the company permanently.
Ford was also widely known for his pacifism during the first years of World War I, and for promoting antisemitic content, including The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, through his newspaper The Dearborn Independent and the book The International Jew, having an influence on the development of Nazism and Adolf Hitler.

J. Mays

J Mays (born October 15, 1954 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, U.S.) was Group Vice President of Global Design and Chief Creative Officer at Ford Motor Company, and is now Chief Design Officer at Whirlpool. His name is simply "J", named after his grandfather, S J Mays.

Jack Goldman

Jacob E. "Jack" Goldman (July 18, 1921 – , December 20, 2011) was an American physicist and former chief scientist of Xerox Corporation. He was also a faculty member at Carnegie Tech and directed the Ford Scientific Laboratory. He is especially notable for hiring physicist Dr. George Pake to create the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, which produced many seminal ideas in modern computing.
Goldman was born in Brooklyn, New York, and died in Westport, Connecticut.Among the projects that Goldman worked on at Ford in the 1960s was the sodium–sulfur battery for electric cars.
After narrowly surviving a fiery crash of his gasoline-powered Lincoln, Goldman quipped "I guess I proved gasoline is more dangerous than a sodium–sulfur battery."Jack Goldman died from congestive heart failure on December 20, 2011.

During its heyday from 1682 to 1789, Versailles wasn&rsquo;t just a palace - it was the center of France&rsquo;s royal world. French royals, nobles, and state officials lived together in the sprawling palace complex. But despite the regal setting, everyday life for courtiers at Versailles was often stressful, regimented, and surprisingly unsanitary.

The palace of Versailles was <a class="edS-cl" href="https://www.ranker.com/list/scandals-from-the-court-of-louis-xiv/rachel-souerbry?ref=internalCrossLinking_keyword">King Louis XIV</a>&rsquo;s pet project. Before it was the center of French court and state life, Versailles was a simple - albeit regal - hunting lodge outside of Paris. As a young man, Louis transformed the site into a palace fit for a Sun King and moved his court and government offices there in 1682.
