a consulting professor at Stanford University and an adjunct professor
and member of the University of California at Berkeley's Electrical

Brian L. Halla is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of National Semiconductor Corporation. He joined the Company as Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer on May 3, 1996. He was formerly Executive Vice President of LSI Logic Corporation, responsible for the development of all LSI Logic product lines. Prior to that, he was with Intel Corporation for 14 years. Halla serves on the boards of Cisco Systems, Inc. and the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA). He has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Nebraska.
Liu is senior vice president of worldwide manufacturing operations. He
previously served as vice president and managing director for
National's test and assembly facility in Melaka, Malaysia, a position
to which he was appointed in 1996. Liu began his career at National in
1976 as a management trainee and subsequently worked as an assembly
engineer, consumer product operations manager, analog test engineer and
test engineering manager. He holds a degree in physics from Malaya
University as well as a master's degree in business administration from
the University of Hull in the United Kingdom.

Monticelli is National's Chief Technology Officer for analog technologies.
Monticelli received his bachelor's degree in engineering from the
University of California at Santa Barbara in 1974 and joined National
Semiconductor upon graduation. For 16 years he worked on a wide variety
of analog and mixed-signal development projects, both as a circuit
designer and as design manager. He was selected to lead the newly
formed Power Management business unit in 1991 and promoted to vice
president in 1995. He currently holds 20 patents in the area of circuit
design and is a member of the National Semiconductor Patent Hall of
Fame.
Kunz is senior vice president of National Semiconductor's Power Management Group. He
previously served as the company's senior vice president of worldwide
marketing and sales. Kunz joined National in 1981 and served in various
management positions in analog product marketing in Germany and the UK.
He later served as a corporate account manager and was promoted to the
European management team in 1993 as marketing director for the
company's Communications and Computing group. In 1997, he was named as
director of sales for Europe, and in January 2000 was promoted to vice
