Reptile

Reptile is a video game character from the Mortal Kombat fighting game franchise. Created for Midway Games by John Tobias and Ed Boon, Reptile debuted in Mortal Kombat as a hidden boss and appeared in subsequent titles as a playable character, also appearing in the merchandise and other media related to the series.
Reptile is a Raptor, a nearly-extinct bipedal humanoid race of reptilian creatures and loyally serves the series' recurring villain Shao Kahn in hope that his race will be revived. Reptile has been featured in almost every title in the series under the same pretenses, and until the 2011 reboot, he had yet to be rewarded for his efforts. Critical reception to the character has been positive, with many print and online publications commenting on his evolution since his debut as a hidden character.

Noob Saibot

Noob Saibot is a fictional character from the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. He debuted as a mysterious hidden character in Mortal Kombat II, in which he is a black silhouette of the other ninja characters.
While Noob Saibot made subsequent appearances in Mortal Kombat 3, Mortal Kombat 4 and updates to those games, his backstory was not established until 2004's Mortal Kombat: Deception. In Deception his true identity is revealed as the original Sub-Zero who had been killed by his nemesis, Scorpion, during the events of the first Mortal Kombat. The character returns in both Mortal Kombat Armageddon and the 2011 Mortal Kombat reboot game.
The character's name is a play on the names of Mortal Kombat creators, Ed Boon and John Tobias which have simply been spelled backwards. Originally, Noob Saibot shared moves and graphics with various other characters in the games before being given his own unique moveset and appearance. Noob Saibot has been well received, often being named to lists of the best characters in the Mortal Kombat series.

Smoke

Smoke is a player character from the Mortal Kombat fighting game franchise created by Ed Boon and John Tobias. He first appeared in Mortal Kombat II as a hidden unplayable opponent and gray ninja palette swap of Scorpion who would make random onscreen appearances during gameplay. He made his official playable debut in 1995's Mortal Kombat 3 as an unlockable character, this time as an indigo-colored swap of the game's cybernetic ninjas, Sektor and Cyrax.
His role in the series has predominantly been that of close friend and confidant of the younger Sub-Zero; both are part of the Lin Kuei clan of assassins who boldly choose to defect after learning of the clan's plan to convert its members into cyborgs. Smoke was ultimately captured and transformed, and given orders to hunt down Sub-Zero, but unlike his robotic counterparts he had retained his human soul. In the three-dimensional games, he is connected with Noob Saibot, under whose command he serves. Smoke's background is expanded the 2011 Mortal Kombat reboot, while his and Sub-Zero's fortunes are reversed in the retelling of their MK3 storyline.

Solid Snake

Solid Snake is a fictional character and one of the main protagonists of Konami's Metal Gear series created by Hideo Kojima. The Metal Gear Solid games has Japanese voice actor Akio Ōtsuka providing the character's Japanese voice while actor and screenwriter David Hayter provides the character's English voice.
Snake is a combination of a spy, mercenary and special operations agent. A member of FOXHOUND, he is often tasked with disarming and destroying various models of the bipedal nuclear weapon-armed mecha known as Metal Gear. Controlled by the player, he must act alone, supported via radio by commanding officers and specialists. While his first appearances in the original Metal Gear games were references to Hollywood films, the Metal Gear Solid series has given a consistent design by artist Yoji Shinkawa alongside an established personality. The character Solid Snake has been well-received by critics.

Mewtwo is a fictional creature from Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon media franchise. Created by Ken Sugimori, it first appeared in the video games Pokémon Red and Blue and their sequels, and later appeared in various merchandise, spinoff titles, as well as animation adaptations of the franchise. Masachika Ichimura voiced the franchise's original Mewtwo character in Japanese, and the creature's younger self is voiced by Fujiko Takimoto in the Sound Picture Box: Mewtwo's Origin CD drama and Showtaro Morikubo in the anime adaptation. In English, Jay Goede voiced Mewtwo in Mewtwo Strikes Back and the Pokémon Live! musical. For the former production, he was credited under the pseudonym "Philip Bartlett". Dan Green provided the voice in Mewtwo Returns. Actress Reiko Takashima voices a separate Mewtwo character in the prequel special Mewtwo: Prologue to Awakening and the film ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo Awakens.
In the video games, the player can fight and capture Mewtwo to pit it against other Pokémon. The player first learns of Mewtwo late in Pokémon Red and Blue by reading research documents left in a ruined laboratory on Cinnabar Island.

Carnage

Carnage is a fictional supervillain appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics, usually as an enemy of Spider-Man. The character first appeared as Cletus Kasady in The Amazing Spider-Man #344 and as Carnage in The Amazing Spider-Man #360. He was created by writer David Michelinie and artists Erik Larsen and Mark Bagley, based on elements of the precursor character Venom. Luigi

Luigi is a fictional character featured in video games and related media released by Nintendo. Created by prominent game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, Luigi is portrayed as the slightly younger but taller fraternal twin brother of Nintendo's mascot Mario, and appears in many games throughout the Mario franchise, often as a sidekick to his brother.
Luigi first appeared in the 1983 arcade game Mario Bros. as the character controlled by the second player, and retained this role in Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and other titles. The first game where he was available as a primary character was Super Mario Bros. 2. In more recent appearances, Luigi's role became increasingly restricted to spinoffs such as the Mario Party and Mario Kart series, though he has been featured in a starring role on three occasions: first in the 1991 educational game Mario Is Missing!, in Luigi's Mansion for the Nintendo GameCube in 2001, and in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon for the 3DS. In all three of these games, he is called upon to act as the hero because Mario, the usual hero within the franchise, is in need of rescue.

Akuma

Akuma, known in Japan as Gouki, is a fictional character from the Street Fighter series of fighting games by Capcom. Akuma made his debut in Super Street Fighter II Turbo as a secret character and hidden boss. In the storyline of the Street Fighter video games, he is the younger brother of Gouken, Ryu's and Ken's master. In some games he also has an enhanced version named Shin Akuma, or Shin Gouki in Japanese. Akuma has achieved significant success, popularity, positive critical reaction, and has been mostly well received by both fans and critics.

Pichu

Pichu is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. Created by Ken Sugimori, Pichu first appeared in the video games Pokémon Gold and Silver and subsequent sequels, later appearing in various merchandise, spinoff titles and animated and printed adaptations of the franchise. There have been multiple voice actors for Pichu. The two Pichu Brothers characters were voiced by Yumi Tōma and Satomi Kōrogi, while a spiky-eared Pichu from the film Arceus and the Jewel of Life was voiced by Shōko Nakagawa.
Known as the "Tiny Mouse" species of the Pokémon series, Pichu is the pre-evolved version of Pikachu. Pichu made its debut appearance in Pokémon Gold and Silver and has since made appearances in the series. Ever since its introduction to the series, Pichu was seen as a sidekick like character towards Pikachu, being often seen in the spinnoff games alongside it in games like Pokémon Pinball. The Pokémon has been featured in Super Smash Bros. Melee where it was a playable character.

Lucario

Lucario is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. Created by Ken Sugimori, Lucario first appeared as a central character in the film Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, and later appeared in the video games Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and subsequent sequels, also appearing in various merchandise, spinoff titles and animated and printed adaptations of the franchise. Lucario is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa in Japanese, and Bill Rogers in English.
Known as the Aura Pokémon, Lucario can track energy called Aura, which is given off by all living creatures and has the ability to sense it from half a mile away. Lucario is also featured as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Since it appeared in the Pokémon series, Lucario has received generally positive reception. It has been featured in several forms of merchandise, including figurines, plush toys, and the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

Link

Link refers to several different incarnations of the same protagonist of Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series. Link has been featured in other media from Nintendo, including its merchandising, comic books, and a cartoon series.
Link is depicted as a child, teenager, or adult of the Hylian race, originating from the fictional land of Hyrule. Link often travels through Hyrule, defeating creatures, evil forces, and the series' primary antagonist, Ganon, while attempting to save Princess Zelda and Hyrule. To defeat him, Link usually requires the mystic Master Sword and Light Arrows, or a similar legendary weapon, obtained after many trials and battles, and magical objects or using other items such as musical instruments and weaponry.

Pram The Oracle

Gon is a tiny fictional dinosaur and the title character of a Japanese manga series created by Masashi Tanaka. The Gon series features the completely wordless adventures of the irascible title character as he interacts with the natural world, depicted by Tanaka in lush, realistic detail. Gon somehow survived the extinction of his fellow dinosaurs and interacts with paleolithic animals.
Gon was most notable outside of Japan for his appearance in the PlayStation version of Tekken 3. An animated TV series began airing in Japan on April 2, 2012. In 1998, the manga received an Excellence Prize at the Japan Media Arts Festival.

Cloud Strife

Cloud Strife is a fictional character and the main protagonist of Square's role-playing video game Final Fantasy VII and several of its sequels and spin-offs. He was originally designed by Final Fantasy VII character designer Tetsuya Nomura. Cloud's appearance is marked by spikey blond hair, striking blue eyes, dark clothing and his Buster Sword, which previously belonged to his friend Zack Fair.
In Final Fantasy VII, Cloud is a mercenary and self-proclaimed ex-member of SOLDIER, an elite, genetically augmented military unit operating under the de facto world government, the megacorporation Shinra Electric Power Company. Fighting against Shinra in the resistance group AVALANCHE, and driven by a feud with the primary antagonist, Sephiroth, Cloud learns to accept his troubled past and adapts to his role as a leader. Cloud has also appeared in several other titles outside the Final Fantasy VII continuity, such as Itadaki Street Special, Final Fantasy Tactics, Dissidia Final Fantasy, Ehrgeiz and the Kingdom Hearts series.
Cloud has garnered a primarily positive reception from critics. Described as "iconic," the character has been ranked highly in various published character lists.

Jin Kazama

Jin Kazama is a fictional character and main protagonist of the Tekken series released by Namco Bandai Games. Jin is consistently voiced by Isshin Chiba since he debuted in Tekken 3, making him the only Tekken character to be consistently voiced by one actor in every appearance.
Trained by his grandfather, Heihachi Mishima, in order to enter the King of Iron Fist Tournament, Jin wishes to avenge his mother's apparent death. However, during the tournament it is revealed that Jin possesses the Devil Gene, a genetic abnormality within his body, which causes the betrayal of Heihachi who wants to take it. He is also antagonized by his father, Kazuya Mishima, from whom he inherited the gene. While dealing with them, Jin loses control of the Devil Gene, which causes his transformation into an alter-ego named Devil Jin, first introduced as a non-playable character in Tekken 3 and playable in Tekken 5.
Outside the video games, Jin has also appeared in the animated adaptations from the games as well as the live-action film.

Marth

Marth is a character from Nintendo and Intelligent Systems's Fire Emblem series of video games. He is the protagonist and Lord class character in the first and the third games in the series, Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Tsurugi, and Fire Emblem: Monshō no Nazo, as well as their two remakes, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Fire Emblem: Shin Monshō no Nazo: Hikari to Kage no Eiyū.
Although all titles featuring Marth until Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon were released exclusively in Japan, he acquired more widespread international attention through his recurring appearances in Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. series of fighting games. Marth and Roy's appearance increased western interest in the Fire Emblem series, and in part it lead Nintendo to start releasing the games internationally, beginning with Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken, the seventh installment in the series, released to the west under the title Fire Emblem.

Captain Falcon

Captain Falcon is a playable character in the racing video game series F-Zero. He first appeared in the debut game, and is the poster child of the F-Zero franchise. Nintendo first envisioned Captain Falcon as a flagship character to represent the release of a new console, but he ended up appearing far less than originally planned. In the games, he appears as a mysterious racer and bounty hunter who is one of the best racers on the circuit. Falcon also represents the F-Zero franchise in each entry of the Super Smash Bros. series.
In the GP Legend continuity, writers portrayed Falcon differently from previous games; here, "Captain Falcon" is a title passed down and held by the best racer in the world. He owns and operates a small bar in Mute City, taking up the alias of Bart Lemming and aiding fellow protagonist Rick Wheeler in disguise.
