Now You See Me Movie Quotes

"Now You See Me" movie quotes follow the twists and turns of the illusion thriller released in theaters on May 31, 2013. The film was written by Ed Solomon, Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt and directed by Louis Leterrier. "Now You See Me" features an ensemble cast headlined by Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Morgan Freeman, Dave Franco and Michael Caine.

In "Now You See Me," a group of four illusionists known as "The Four Horsemen," Merrit Osbourne (Harrelson), Henley Reeves (Fisher), Atlas (Eisenberg) and Jack (Franco), make a swift rise from doing cheesy street magic to performing in front of large audiences on stage. In one of their shows, they perform a trick that transports one of them from the stage in Las Vegas to Paris, France, to complete a bank robbery all in a matter of seconds. The stolen cash however is given to the members of the audience who have all been hit by tough times.

The heist attracts the attention of the FBI, mainly Dylan Hobbs (Ruffalo), and other agencies plus that of the bank's owner, Arthur Tressler (Caine). All enlist the help of Thaddeus Bradley (Freeman), whose profession includes exposing the secrets behind magic tricks, to solve the riddle and nab those responsible. Bradley however finds that the bank heist was simply a distraction from the Four Horsemen's primary trick, something truly amazing.

If this illusion thriller doesn't amaze you, there are many other great movies in theaters at the same time including "After Earth," "Fast and Furious 6," "The Hangover Part III," "The Great Gatsby," "The Big Wedding," "Oblivion," "Scary Movie 5," "Evil Dead," "Jurassic Park 3D," "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," "Olympus Has Fallen," "Admission," "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone," "Emperor," "Dead Man Down," and "Oz: The Great and Powerful."

    Look Closely

    Video: YouTube

Thaddeus Bradley: "You do realize this is a game, played out on a global scale? If you really want to know how a bank in Paris was robbed from a stage in Las Vegas, Vegas was just the start. Whatever this grand trick is, it was designed a long time ago and I believe it what was about to follow was really going to amaze. Look closely, because the closer you think you are the less you'll actually see."

Thaddeus looks at the bigger scale of what happened. He knows the Paris bank robbery was simply a distraction away from a much larger trick. That bigger trick is the one everyone should focus on as that's where everyone will be truly amazed.

Atlas, Merritt and Henley, together: "Good night!"

Merritt Osbourne: "Look into my eyes. Now, sleep! Just hang out there a sec. I'm picturing beach, cocktails, Florida?"
Husband: "Look, it was a business trip."
Merritt Osbourne: "Maybe the oldest business…"
    Husband: "I…"
    Merritt Osbourne: "You're thinking of a woman's name. A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J… J. Jean, Jane, Janet! Who, who is Janet?"
    Wife: "My sister"
    Merritt Osbourne: "Your sister"
    Husband: "Nooo"
Merritt Osbourne: "You weren't away on business! You were away on Janet! Okay now she's gonna get upset. Let's move over here. You want this to go away?"
    Husband: "Yes"
Merritt Osbourne: "Okay, now just pull out your wallet. Does uh $200 seem fair? Okay… And sleep! Now when I snap my fingers, you won't remember any of this. And you, every time you even see or think of Janet, you're going to picture me naked and that's not a pretty sight."
    Husband: "Yeah"

Merritt Osbourne shows how he uses his powers of illusion for his own financial gain when he catches a male tourist in a tryst with his wife's sister. Merritt makes the wife forget the conversation ever happened, for a cool $200, plus provides the man with a disgusting mental image to take with him.

    First Rule of Magic

    Video: YouTube

Atlas: "You have what we in the business like to call nothing up your sleeve. Because if you did it means that you and the FBI and your friends at Interpol actually believe in magic."
Dylan Hobbs: "Can you explain to me how you went from Las Vegas to Paris in three seconds?"
Atlas: "What do the kids call it these days? Oh, magic."
Dylan Hobbs: "I'm gonna nail your ass!"
Atlas: "First rule of magic: Always be the smartest guy in the room."

After the illusionists are arrested, Atlas is interrogated by Dylan Hobbs and other law enforcement officers. Atlas quickly turns the tables on them by not only reminding them that they have no evidence for their claims but also in a split second taking the handcuffs off of himself and putting them on Dylan.
