Oblivion Movie Quotes

"Oblivion" movie quotes take viewers on a science-fiction adventure into a future Earth where mankind is all but exterminated. The action film was written and directed by Joseph Kosinski using an unpublished graphic novel from Radical Comics. "Oblivion" released in American theaters on April 19, 2013.

In "Oblivion," Jack Harper (Tom Cruise) works as a drone mechanic on a mission to repair equipment and gather the few remaining resources on Earth, a planet 60 years desolate after an alien attack forced all of its inhabitants to flee. Living from a hovering tower base above Earth with co-worker Victoria (Olga Kurylenko), Jack makes trips down to the planet to complete his work while Victoria remains at the base in touch with their commander, Sally (Melissa Leo).

On one day, near the end of their mission, Earth is attacked and pods, one of which contains a girl, Julia (Olga Kurylenko), rain down. Jack takes interest in Julia but is soon captured by the resistance forces stationed on Earth. Malcolm Beech (Morgan Freeman), the resistance leader interrogates Jack and reveals to him that his mission might not be what he believes it to be. This causes Jack to question everything and make a difficult choice on which side he really belongs.

If you've seen enough Tom Cruise action movies, there are many other choices in theaters at the same time including "Scary Movie 5," "Evil Dead," "Jurassic Park 3D," "G.I.
