20+ Videos Of Absolutely Brutal 'Mortal Kombat' Fatalities You Completely Forgot

Vote up the greatest and most punishing 'Mortal Kombat' fatalities to kill your opponent with.

The Mortal Kombat franchise is one of the best classic video games - known for its gore, savagery, and insane fatalities. In fact, the video games are so notoriously violent that they've caused controversy since the early '90s. The 2011 reboot even got banned in Australia, Germany, and South Korea.

But that's exactly what makes Mortal Kombat awesome: needlessly excessive violence. It's so clearly exaggerated in all of the top Mortal Kombat games that you can't help but laugh. The fact that the most gruesome fatalities are rather difficult to pull off only makes it that much sweeter when you beat the sh*t out of your friend.

The series' creators understood the joy of using those finishing moves, so they started creating hidden fatalities, level-based fatalities, and advanced versions of fatalities in the Mortal Kombat series. For example, there are moves called "brutalities," in which you simply pummel your opponent to smithereens, and "animalities," in which you turn into your inner animal and maul your opponent to death.

With the release of Mortal Kombat X in 2015, things have only gotten gorier. Check out this list of killer moves and vote up the most brutal Mortal Kombat fatalities!

    Razor's Edge

Kung Lao's razor-rimmed hat isn't just there for fashion points. It doubles as a killer James Bond-style death trap.

The best example of this is Kung Lao's Mortal Kombat 9 fatality, Razor's Edge, which slices opponents in half like a buzzsaw.

    Make A Wish

Before being resurrected as Noob Saibot, Bi-Han was infamous for his cold heart and inhumane attacks. His violent past is evident in his Mortal Kombat 9 fatality, Make a Wish.

Just as the name suggests, Noob's finishing move is comparable to siblings breaking the wishbone of a Thanksgiving turkey. The vengeful spirit summons a shadow clone and the two rip the enemy apart.

    Death Machine

Though relatively new to the series, Triborg is a killing machine that no one should ever mess with. For his fatality in Mortal Kombat X, Triborg's cybernetic body transforms into a gigantic Death Machine.

The move kills his victim like a cow in a slaughterhouse, then spits them out like chewed-up bubblegum.

    Stripped Down

As a Shokan, Sheeva can use her four arms to their deadliest potential. In her signature fatality, Stripped Down, Sheeva grabs a handful of her enemy's flesh in each hand, then violently pulls their skin off.

It's a sadistic yet comical move. Perfect for a half-human, half-dragon like Sheeva.

    Be Mine!

Mileena has a smile to die for... literally. In Mortal Kombat 9, the femme fatale woos her enemies to death with her Be Mine fatality.

She begins by throwing her sais at the enemy's chest, then stares intimately into their eyes before ripping off their head and gnawing on it.

    Play Time

Ferra and Torr showcase the importance of teamwork in Mortal Kombat X. Their awesome arsenal of moves relies on one giving the other a hand, and Play Time is no different.

Torr throws Ferra through their opponent's chest like a harpoon, creating a gaping hole that causes the torso to collapse after Torr reels Ferra back in.
