The Oscar Picks for 2014 Best Actress recognized the top performances from women in the best 2013 movies. Cate Blanchett, for her brilliant role in "Blue Jasmine," won the award. As much as many of us would love to join the Academy, until that happens, we can still share our picks as to which actress should have won the 2014 Academy Award for Best Actress right here.
Like other categories at the 2014 Oscars, this category approached with a few favorites to take home the Best Actress honor. Cate Blanchett, who won the 2014 Golden Globe for Best Actress - Drama, was the front-runner for her portrayal of Jeanette "Jasmine" Francis in the Woody Allen film "Blue Jasmine." But hot on her tails was Amy Adams, who took home the Golden Globe for Best Actress - Comedy or Musical for her role in "American Hustle."
Blanchett had some other good competition, mainly from Sandra Bullock, who stole the show in the Best Picture front-runner "Gravity," and Judi Dench, for her work in "Philomena."We know who won but who should have won? Vote for you favorites below. When you're done there, head over and make your picks for Best Picture and Best Actor as well.
