The life of Robert Bruce, King of Scotland in the early 1300s, has now been transformed by Netflix into an tale of feudal loyalty and romance, with plenty of epic and gory battle scenes. Outlaw King follows Bruce's struggle to regain control of the country from King Edward I of England, by convincing his fellow Scottish noblemen to fight alongside him. It may have a few inaccuracies, but for the most part stays faithful to the true story.

The cast of Outlaw King may include some familiar faces, but many of the talented actors are newcomers just starting out in their careers - though you'd never know it from their performances. If you're wondering where you recognize people from Outlaw King, here is a complete list of the talented actors associated with the show, and the American, British, and Australian shows and movies they've previously worked on. Coincidentally, several of the cast members have actually worked together before.

As Robert Bruce, Earl of Carrick, Chris Pine led the Lords of Scotland in an uprising against the English throne. A compelling leader and clever fighter, Robert Bruce was able to unite Scotland and reclaim the country's land from King Edward and his son, the Prince of Wales.

Pine is easily the most recognizable face in a field of newcomers, and is one of the few actors in the film not born in the UK. Viewers will most likely know him from Star Trek as Captain Kirk, as well as other roles like Steve Trevor in 2017's Wonder Woman and Mr. Murry in 2018's A Wrinkle In Time. Fans can also catch him in a new TV mini-series in 2019, called I Am The Night.
