Pan movie quotes tell the origin story of Peter Pan as he grew from being an orphaned boy to the savior of Neverland. The 3D fantasy adventure movie was directed by Joe Wright using a screenplay Jason Fuchs adapted from the character created by J. M. Barrie. Pan opened in theaters in the United States on October 9, 2015.

In Pan, a young Peter (Levi Miller) is pulled from his orphanage and transported to the magical Neverland. Once there, he meets a number of friends and foes, including Tiger Lily (Rooney Mara), who explains to him that they've been waiting for him. Peter is confused but soon learns of a prophecy in the land that talks about a boy who could fly that will save them from evil. Tiger Lily and others think that boy is him.

Peter also meets James Hook (Garrett Hedlund) for the first time and the two become allies. While the man who would later become Captain Hook, and Peter's arch enemy, is just learning to steer a ship, Hook and Peter, two unlikely hero candidates, must work together to save Neverland from the evil Blackbeard (Hugh Jackman).

Pan opened in theaters alongside other great fall 2015 films such as The Martian, The Walk, The Intern and Hotel Transylvania 2.
