A list of all the best parody movies ever made, many of which are streaming on Netflix and Amazon Prime. This parody movie list can be sorted by cast, year, director, and more. This list of parody films also contains parody movie titles that can be clicked on for more information about the film, and is loosely ordered by popularity. You can sort the columns if you would prefer to view in alphabetical order, or use the search box to filter this long list by metadata.
You also call movies like these "spoofs" sometimes, but who really uses the word "spoofs" anymore? Spoof movies feel a little dated, like the National Lampoon movies probably had a few spoofs here and there. The word spoof is often accompanied at some point by the words oddball, whacky or even kooky. Maybe that's why we don't really use any of those words seriously anymore, but you can make a bit of a serious or "good" parody movie. I don't know if you can make a high-quality spoof. Anyway the point is a lot of these movies are likely not exactly funny spoof movies, so be warned. Though I'm sure there's lots of great and funny movie parodies here. You can't really go wrong with This Is Spinal tap.
These parodies also cover a wide variety of genres, horror movie parodies, superhero parody movies, vampire movie parodies, sci-fi parodies, romance, and musical movie parodies; really the whole gamut of great and terrible parodies all in one place. Some of the best comedies are hilarious parodies. Who could forget any of the Monty Python movies? The same goes for The Naked Gun movies that starred Leslie Nielsen? And of course, this list wouldn't be complete with This is Spinal Tap.
For a more generic compilation of comedies, be sure to check out the best comedies that are streaming on Amazon Prime and Netflix.
