"Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" brings the fantasy-adventure series back for a second film following the 2012 hit "Percy Jackson & the Olympians." Marc Guggenheim crafted the screenplay for the film using Rick Riordan's novel of the same name as the basis. Directed by Thor Freudenthal, "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" opened in theaters on August 7, 2013.
In "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters," the title character of Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman), the son of Poseidon, lives with other half-bloods--those children resulting from the Gods of Olympus reproducing with humans--in Camp Half-Blood. Percy is enlisted by Dionysus (Stanley Tucci), director of Camp Half-Blood, to lead a mission to save their home. Their home is under the threat of being destroyed as Luke Castellan (Jake Abel) is dead set on destroying Olympus by resurrecting Kronos.
The task awaiting Percy seems simple, retrieving the Golden Fleece, but it's hardly that. The Golden Fleece is in a very dangerous area, the Sea of Monsters or Bermuda Triangle. In order to venture to get the fleece, Percy gathers a team of other half-bloods including Grover Underwood (Brandon T. Jackson) and his love interest, Annabeth Chase (Alexandra Daddario). Together, they venture into the Sea of Monsters in search of the Golden Fleece. For something a little bit more realistic, check out other top 2013 summer moves such as "We're the Millers, "Elysium," "2 Guns," "Blue Jasmine," "The Wolverine," "The To Do List," "Only God Forgives," "Girl Most Likely," "Red 2," "R.I.P.D.," "Pacific Rim," "Grown Ups 2," "The Lone Ranger," "Despicable Me 2," "The Heat," "White House Down," "World War Z," "Man of Steel," "This Is the End," and "Olympus Has Fallen."

Annabeth Chase: "My fatal flaw, that's what the Sirens showed me. My fatal flaw is hubris."As Annabeth explains her fatal flaw is hubris, which is extreme pride or arrogance. For the record, hubris is nothing like hummus, though, at least to Percy, hummus is just as bad.
Percy Jackson: "That brown stuff they spread on veggie sandwiches?"
Annabeth Chase: "No, seaweed brain. That's hummus. Hubris is worse."
Percy Jackson: "What could be worse than hummus?"182Should this be higher or lower?
