    Coincidence?

    Posted by u/LoremasterRyan:

Part of the ending confuses me. After Jamie tells her story, Flora stops and says “My middle name is Flora” as if there is a coincidence there.

Can she not pick out the details of her own life? She has a brother named Miles. Parents that died on a trip. An uncle that adopted her. A manor they used to live in when they were kids.

I mean, really. I was expecting her to put it all together. Even if Jamie changed their names, the coincidences would be incredibly plentiful.

Heck even Owen and his restaurant are in the story and Owen gave a toast at the wedding, indicating he’s an old friend. While I’m sure he didn’t tell me them details he must have reminisced about cooking them meals when they were kids.

The only little “plot hole” I’ve found that keeps sitting with me.

      Dive Into The Mystery

Did no one in 400 years even think about looking inside the lake and better yet after Rebecca died, they didn't even check like, "Oh wow, one dead body in this lake, might as well check just in case..."

THE LAKE ISNT EVEN DEEP EITHER, LEGIT EVERYONE WHO'S TRIED CAN REACH THE BOTTOM!

        Touchy Subject

Why do some ghosts can touch things and people and some can’t?

The doll faced ghost can move the dolls, the lady in the lake can strangle people, Hannah had just died and could shake Dani’s hand and sleep on Owen’s shoulder...

But on the other hand Peter and Rebecca couldn’t touch each other and later when Hannah tried to stop the lady she couldn’t touch her either. How does it work?

          Jamie's Timeline

          Posted by u/whatupbuttercup89:

It only took place over 20 years, from 1987 (at Bly Manor) to 2007 (the rehearsal dinner). Why did present Jamie look so old? She aged a lot in ten years (it had been ten years since Dani died).
