List RulesOnly pop rock bands and artists

Over the years, pop rock has come to dominate the radio waves. Mixing a catchy pop sound with light (read: not serious) lyrics combined with guitar rock, pop rock bands are some of the most popular bands on the planet and making some of the best rock songs of 2018. While new pop rock bands come and go, the best pop rock bands have managed stick around and churn out hit after hit. These pop rock artists sell out arenas, sell millions of singles and downloads, and some are even featured on TV shows and movies. Above all, pop rock bands have managed to endure and are widely known for having big hits.

So, what are the best pop rock bands? Any list of pop rock bands has to include names like Maroon 5, Bon Jovi, OneRepublic, Daughtry, Billy Joel, Elton John, Rod Stewart, and the Beatles. These famous pop bands span generations and different eras in pop music, from current bands to the classics, but the one similar thread is that they all play rock music and were labeled as a pop band. Pop rock isn't going away any time soon, and its bands, with good reason, appeal to all music fans. Famous pop singers are often treated like celebrities and it's usually their charisma that makes them so good at what they do.

That said, it's up to you to determine what are the top pop rock bands. If you think a pop rock band should be on this list and isn't, feel free to add there . This list answers the questions "who are the best pop rock bands of all time?" and "who are the greatest pop rock musicians ever?" If you know enough about the genre, please vote based on the quality of the band's music instead of just voting for the most popular pop rock bands that you might've heard of.
