It may be hard to believe, but United States Presidents were once children, too. Before they were designing economic stimulus packages, re-opening trade with China, or starting conflicts beyond their enumerated powers, these men may have sat on their living room floors, eating grilled cheese sandwiches cooked by their mothers before playing a game of hide-and-seek with their neighborhood friends. Childhood pictures of presidents makes a person realize even the best presidents had humble beginnings, and the worst presidents were once young and innocent.
The commander in chief is quite often depersonalized, politicized, and criticized; they put themselves in the public eye where everyone can watch their every mistake. Seeing a person's childhood photos, however, humanizes them and can give real insight into who the person in the Oval Office truly is.
