List Rules Famous hip hop artists with dreadlocks.

This list includes information about rappers with dreads, loosely ranked by fame and popularity. Dreadlocks are developed into a hairstyle that is often associated with the Rasta style. Many famous rappers and hip-hop artist have worn their hair in dreads over the years and some of the most popular rappers still making music today even have dreads.

Who is the most famous rapper with dreads? Snoop Dogg, or should we say Snoop Lion, tops our list. The California rapper started to wear his hair in dreads around the same time that he released his reggae album, Reincarnated. He also filmed a 2013 documentary of the same name during this period to document his experience in Jamaica. Other famous male rappers who have worn their hair in dreads include 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, and Busta Rhymes.

Several famous female rappers have also worn their hair in dreads. Erykah Badu rocked some serious dreads in the early-1990s, but it was later revealed that her dreads were fake. Lauryn Hill also wore her hair in dreads in the 1990s, around the time when she released her iconic album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

Which famous rapper's dreads do you like the best? Does it drive you ratty when your liberal arts college classmates form their dreadlocks right there during lectures? Take a look at this list and share your thoughts in the comments section.
