"Red Dawn" movie quotes take viewers through the action in the 2012 remake of the 1984 film of the same name. The story follows residents of one town that is taken over by North Korean forces as the residents form an army of their own to regain their freedom. Dan Bradley directs the film which was released on November 21, 2012, in the United States.

In "Red Dawn," the town of Spokane, Washington, is minding their own business, with residents working, going to school, socializing and rooting on the local high school football team, the Wolverines. But that all changes when one morning they are awakened to the sounds of war in their own community. Many are taken prisoner and the town finds themselves under enemy occupation.

"Red Dawn" focuses mainly on one family, the Eckarts. Father Tom (Brett Cullen), after instructs his sons to hide out in their family cabin, is taken prisoner but still urges his sons to fight back against the North Koreans, just as he would have done. His sons, Jed and Matt (Chris Hemsworth and Josh Peck, respectively), do just that and in the process form a small army they call the Wolverines after the local high school team. Together with Toni (Adrianne Palicki), Robert (Josh Hutcherson), Erica (Isabel Lucas), Danny (Edwin Hodge), Daryl (Connor Cruise) and Colonel Andrew Tanner (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), the Wolverines battle the North Korean military in an attempt to regain their town and their freedom.

If remakes of 1980s action movies are not quite your fancy, there is plenty else in theaters such as "Skyfall," "Lincoln," "Flight," "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2," "Anna Karenina," "This Must Be the Place," "Cloud Atlas," "Wreck-It Ralph," "Nobody Walks," "The Sessions," "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D," "Chasing Mavericks," "Alex Cross," "Smashed," "Sinister," "Seven Psychopaths," "Argo," and "Looper."
